The Angel Harvey Family Health Center (IWS) is committed to protecting our patients and staff from infection and illness. Patient and staff health and safety is our priority. The following is an update about coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and our preparations to care for any patients who may have the virus.
COVID-19, spread is thought to occur mostly from person-to-person via respiratory droplets among close contacts. While risk factors for severe illness are not yet clear, it appears that older patients and those with chronic medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness. No specific treatment for COVID-19 is currently available. There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at IWS.
Please keep in mind and practice these everyday actions to prevent the transmission of all respiratory illnesses.
We will continue to stay informed of the outbreak situation and update you accordingly.
