The Angel Harvey Family Health Center of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago puts the community into ‘community health’ at a time when those in our neighborhoods need us. Our full-service community health center serves more than 13,000 patients annually with pediatric, adult health, prenatal, dental, counseling and specialty services for children with developmental delays in a single central location.
This “one-stop-shop” ensures barrier-free access and provides a multi-service healthcare home for children and families in Chicago and the surrounding areas.
For more than a century, the Angel Harvey Family Health Center has pioneered innovative medical and behavioral health practices to serve some of Chicago’s most vulnerable populations.
Since 1924, we have incorporated child development and behavioral health counseling into its primary care model, and since 1970, provided pediatric dentistry services to low-income children. Orthodontic care was introduced in 1991 and pediatric optometry in 1995. In 2015, the Angel Harvey Family Health Center launched the Child-Centered Health and Advanced Therapies (CHAT) Center, an on-site prevention program for children at risk for developmental delays.
The Angel Harvey Family Health Center envisions a community of children and families with healthy bodies and minds.
Our mission is to provide a continuum of integrated, quality, and preventive health care services to children and their families, enabling them to lead healthy and productive lives.
The Angel Harvey Family Health Center received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval! This is a nationally recognized acknowledgement that the Angel Harvey Family Health Center meets the ambulatory care and behavioral health standards that determine “quality of care in a safe environment.
